Music Therapy Session

A structured, therapeutic experience led by a trained music therapist who uses music to support a person’s emotional, mental, physical, or social well-being. During a session, clients may listen to music, sing, play instruments, write songs, or talk about how music makes them feel. Goals include expressing emotions, reducing stress, improving communication, processing trauma or building coping skills.

Adaptive Music Lessons

This is personalized music instruction modifies traditional teaching methods to fit a student's unique abilities, learning style, and needs, benefiting everyone from neurodivergent individuals to those with physical disabilities or challenges with typical lesson structures, focusing on musical skill development alongside potential non-musical goals like communication and focus. These lessons use accommodations such as color-coded notes, adapted instruments, visual schedules, and movement breaks to create an inclusive, effective learning environment. 

Group Music Therapy

Group music therapy offers a supportive space where people connect, express themselves, and build social skills through shared musical experiences and discussion. Making music together can improve communication, cooperation, and a sense of belonging, especially for those who may struggle to express feelings with words. Group music therapy combines emotional support with creativity to promote well-being and positive relationships.

Founder

Erin Blanchette is a trauma-informed Music Therapist with over seven years of experience in behavioral health, specializing in Neurological Music Therapy. She develops treatment plans that transform psycho-education concepts into experiential, music-based interventions to strengthen emotional and behavioral skills.

Grounded in a holistic, client-centered approach, Erin uses music to support emotional regulation, somatic processing, and cognitive restructuring. Her clinical work integrates DBT principles, entrainment techniques, and the therapeutic exploration of how music stores and activates memory.

Erin is deeply committed to advancing the field by promoting music therapy as an essential component of rehabilitation and has presented on its effectiveness at conferences nationwide. She continues to help individuals heal, connect, and grow through the transformative power of music.
